And the correct answer to the Road Trip (Part One) puzzle was…
FIRETRAIL PIZZA! Firetrail Pizza makes delicious wood-fired, artisan pizza from local and organic ingredients out of a mobile roadside kitchen. A number of teams this week submitted FIREHOUSE PIZZA initially before correcting their mistake 🙂
This puzzle combined geography and research with good old-fashioned logical deduction to narrow down where we visited each day from July 12th to July 25th. The final itinerary was:
July 12 – Fort Worth, Texas
July 13 – Indianapolis, Indiana
July 14 – Raleigh, North Carolina
July 15 – El Paso, Texas
July 17 – Richmond, Virginia
July 18 – Atlanta, Georgia
July 19 – Irvine, California
July 20 – Los Angeles, California
July 21 – Pennsylvania (PA)
July 22 – Idaho (ID)
July 23 – Arizona (AZ)
July 24 – Arizona (AZ)
July 25 – Washington (WA)
Reading the yellow squares in order we get the answer: FIRETRAIL PIZZA, the delicious pizza food truck!
This week’s Fastest Solver was Davidsteinandfriends. They solved the puzzle in a blazing-fast 29 minutes. Wow! Following them closely though was the second place team Carly, with David + Adriana in third. Awesome job to everyone.
The all-time and monthly leaderboards have been updated to reflect the latest standings, and winning teams have been contacted about T-shirts. Eigengrau was the lucky random winning team this week! Woohoo!
And most importantly….this week’s puzzle Road Trip (Part Two) is now live! Go, go, go! Special note that this will be a two-week puzzle, so everyone has until 7pm on Wednesday 7/26 to submit their answers, and there will be no new puzzle next week.
