Our reconnaissance traces the League of Extraordinary Puzzle-Haters back to an idyllic neighborhood called Pawprint Pines. Each of the 400 houses in this 20×20 neighborhood is home to either a puppy or a kitten, but not both. Every household with a kitten owns between 1 and 9 balls of yarn: the number is equal to the total number of kittens within a distance of one house (including its own and diagonal neighbors). Every household with a puppy owns between 1 and 25 chew toys: the number is equal to the total number of puppies within a distance of two houses (again, including its own and diagonals).
We’ve counted the number of balls of yarn and chew toys in some of the houses–can you figure out the rest?
